Learn how to use the new Doodle Knit Directory by Pacific Knit Co. as you create your own cowl or stocking (or both!).

Here are the details:

  • Dates & Times
    • 2pm-4pm on the following Saturdays:
      • 11/30

  • Supplies Needed
    • 1 skein (100g) of DK weight yarn
    • 3-6 mini skeins (20g) of contrast/accent colors in DK weight yarn 
      • 15% off Kristy's Fiber Arts yarn if purchasing for this class!
    • 2 circular knitting needles, sizes US 4 (3.5mm) and US 5 (3.75mm) 
      • 24-32" length for both
    • Stitch markers
    • Pencil
  • Pattern
    • Doodle Cowl & Stocking patterns included
    • You will receive a printed paper copy and a digital copy through Ravelry
  • Prerequisites
    • Confidence with knitting and purling
    • Some experience working in the round, particularly using magic loop
    • Reading a knitting pattern
  • What you will learn
    • Stranded colorwork (also called Fair Isle knitting)
    • How to read knitting colorwork charts
    • Two-handed knitting (optional)
    • The goal is not necessarily to complete the projects during these sessions, but to gain the skills necessary to complete them on your own time

Note on Classes

We want classes to start on time, so please try to be at the shop 10-15 minutes prior to the start time and have all supplies ready - this includes yarn purchases and cake winding.

If you need to cancel your booking for a class, please contact the shop at least 24 hours before the day of the class. We will not be able to refund the cost of the class if you cancel after the 24-hour mark.

Instructors make every effort to help all participants, but this will still be a group setting. If you would like more in-depth instruction, you are free to schedule a private lesson for one-on-one learning.
